I am Karen Weinman – known by my teachers as Misk’i Karen, which means sweet and tender from the seed of the heart.
These days my medicine specialises in supporting participants to journey from the head to the heart.
This ancient impulse is the gift of the Q’eros, the descendants of the Inka. From their home high in the Andes mountains, they have safeguarded this profound Earth-based medicine, that addresses every layer of who we are: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, energetic, and soul. Foreseeing a time when the modern world would need to remember this healing power, to heal both people and planet.
Their teachings remind us of what our Western conditioning often obscures:

How does this work?
In the English and western languages of our modern civilization, we literally do not have the vocabulary for the HOW we engage and comunicate with these Nature beings. And this is the ancient language we need to remember, and what we learn here at Medicine Heart.
Every aspect of Nature, whether the Wind, a Tree, a Jaguar or the Earth is a Nature being. Like us – they are both a physical and energetic being. Nature is both outside of us, AND interacts with us from within. And until you know how to ‘speak this language’, this is my role as your Pampamesayoq, the medicine woman to hold the ‘voice’ for nature, and expresses it where an individual or group may need healing or guidance.
Medicine Heart workshops are designed to gently and respectfully teach you how to remember this ancient language within you.
In the process of learning, this brings deep healing and much wisdom. Because Nature holds a very fine energy, a high level of consciousness that when it touches us, releases the old heavy energies you carry, while at the same time opens doors to your own inner wisdom, to hear your heart and soul from within. It is all connected.
Your Facilitator…
I am born in Zimbabwe, with Scottish and English family, so home is a blend of Southern Africa, the Cairngorm Mountains and the Andes, Peru family. I’m a big mountain lover (and pilgrim). Nowadays I like to say ‘I co-facilitate together with Pachamama’ – Mother Earth. I asked her 15 years ago, how I could be of service? She then initiated me in 3 ways:
- By mountain spirits – yes the Mountains called me through one of the last Q’ero Altomesayoqs (converses with the Mountain Spirits) to Peru
- Later back home, I was struck by lightning, and thereby formally initiated by Mother Earth.
- Given a lineage initiation by my Q’ero Master.
Integrating these sacred arts into my life has transformed me personally. As trauma and grief, moving continents away from home-land, serious illness and other challenges have come my way, I have seriously put this medicine to the test, and come out on my feet. Through this unexpected alchemical, nature-l and mystical inner process, these powerful life-style medicines developed into these offerings, which I now share with you.
